Sundays: 9:00am-10:00am or Wednesdays: 6:30pm-7:30pm

UntitledPflaum Publishing’s Gospel Weeklies, our students’ curriculum, is timely, featuring four pillars: Profession of Faith, Life in Christ, Celebrate Mystery & Christian Prayer. The Pflaum resources are a curriculum enhancevisionsment that offers weekly lessons drawn from the Sunday Gospel as well as references to the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Each student receives a weekly lesson that is sent home to serve as a family resource, and a copy of “What the Church Believes and Teaches”, a catechism handbook. Our curriculum includes weekly vocabulary with timely assessments, service, grade-level prayers and prayer services, including seasonal activities.

MISSION STATEMENT
To create for our middle schoolers a Catholic identity.
To create with them a community to support their growth in faith and fellowship.
To foster their relationship with Jesus.

ABOUT B’TWEEN LIFE

B’Tween Life is St. Catherine’s Middle School Youth Ministry. We are focused on community, friendships, service, prayer, but most of all on helping middle schoolers build a relationship with Jesus.

Encouraging unique encounters with the Person of Christ, increasing understanding of Scripture and Church Doctrine, growing prayer lives and reception of the Sacraments, and creating a connection to the Body of Christ is really what Youth Group is all about. So, we build relationships and make memories. We play group games that build camaraderie. We strive for and build an environment of emotional, mental, and physical safety. And we feed them, we never forget the food.   But really, it is all about Christ.

We all remember that middle school was awkward and difficult. That hasn’t changed. However, societal shifts have made the middle school years more difficult than ever. Today, middle school youth are having experiences that were common only with high school students just 15 years ago. Not only are they faced with these tough realities but they are also in the process of moving from being family-centered to friend-centered.

That’s where B’Tween Life come in. We want to be a place where they can find common ground with friends who have similar virtues, beliefs and core values. We will teach them the value of service, not only for the recipient, but also for themselves. We will focus on prayer and the peace they can find in resting in God’s embrace. Through fun activities, service days, retreats, B’Tween Life Nights and the Archdiocese of Atlanta Middle School Catholic Fest, we will provide a safe place to grow in faith and friendships.
