Sacraments for Children Grades 1-2
The Archdiocese requires that children preparing for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist attend formational Religious Education for two years. The first year needs to be complete in order to receive First Reconciliation and First Eucharist in the second year. If your child is entering 2nd grade without attending 1st grade PSR, you will need to register as a first grader. Please review the parent information listed below. Sacraments for Children Grades 3-8
Curriculum: Modified PSR curriculum in a combined age classroom. Children will attend the 7:00pm Mass each class session.
Sacramental Preparation for 3rd-8th grades is a two year religious education process. 3rd-8th grade students coming into the Catholic Church needing the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist will register for OCIC Year One. 3rd-8th graders that attended OCIC Year One in 2015/2016 will register for OCIC Year Two. 3rd -8th Graders coming into the Church needing Baptism will register for INQ (Sacramental Inquiry). All OCIC/INQ classes meet on Wednesdays at 6:00pm. Required Parent Meetings will explain the programs in detail. All OCIC Year Two will follow the same Parent Meeting schedule as Grade Two.
