Dear St. Catherine Parish Family,
This afternoon, the archdiocese released a statement in response to Gov. Kemp's recent executive order. The full statement can be found here. Essentially, the bishops have discerned that it is most prudent to keep the current directives suspending public Masses, gatherings, and access to church buildings in place, most likely through the end of May.
I know for many of you, this news is heartbreaking. And my heart breaks for you. It is my deep desire for all of you to be able to return to the Eucharist, in particular, as soon as is reasonably possible (and safe). In the meantime, we will continue to live stream liturgies and other events frequently, and I would invite you to continue to pray fervently with me for a swift end to this pandemic, so that we can come back together around the Eucharist soon.
Additionally, please know that Fr. Valery and I are available for the sacraments of Confession and/or anointing by appointment at any time. We have been meeting with individuals outdoors and will continue to do so. You can contact me at frneil@stcatherinercc.org or Fr. Valery at frvalery@stcatherinercc.org.
